特别的爱给特别的你
Does the title sound familiar? It is a song sung by Sky Wu (伍思凯). The title came to my mind just a few days before the anthem. I took this 9 words (out of its' original context) because we know of this special someone who manifested His special love towards us while we were sinners.
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Who/What made us special?
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (Genesis 1:27)
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ...But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2 Cor 4:6-7)
Yes. We were created by Him to be ordinarily special and it is only possible to be the light of the world when the true light is in us.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)
