A familiar song...

I was preparing the quiet time material for choir prac yesterday and I recalled the funny, awkward, sweet and warm performance that the guys did for the girls a couple of years back. (I think someone did upload the video on this blog. Look through the archives, yah?)

Anyway, I played with the idea of using part of the song to capture the special, wondrous relationship God has with us. Happy Valentine's Day! <3>

L is for the way You LOOK at me…

“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good…” (Genesis 1: 31)

“But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation…” (Colossians 1: 22)

O is for the ONLY ONE I see…
“One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in the temple.” (Psalm 27: 4)

V is VERY VERY extraordinary…
“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15: 13)

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5: 8)

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgression – it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2: 4 – 5)

E is EVEN MORE than anyone that you adore…

“But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ…” (Philippians 3: 7 – 8)
